Homeschool Families with mixed age children!  Let us know if you'd like to be informed about these upcoming classes! Or, reach out and we can create a class for your learners based on interest and ages. We could do a package or series of classes centered around a topic! Always hands on. Always playful learning. Always multi sensory. 

Hands on learning classes for mixed ages. Younger siblings are welcome to join us. I can come to you or you can come to our outdoor space! 

Classes will include hands on learning, making, creating, and nature play:

  • Bread & Butter 101:
    • no knead artisan bread, sourdough, fresh grain grinding
    • butter making using different methods
    • mortar & pestle mincing of fresh herbs to add to the bread
    • mixing honey and herbs to butter
  • Bird Study 101
    • Build birdhouses
    • Make bird feeders
    • Identify common birds
    • Listen to bird sounds
  • Chicken Keeping 101:
    • How to care for chickens
    • How are chickens helpful to gardening?
  • Symmetry in Nature
    • Study symmetry in nature with plants, people, feathers, trees, and more
    • Create symmetrical and asymmetrical designs using loose parts
  • Pulleys and Inclines:
    • Using ropes, baskets, clips, and jugs of water, we will make and create inclines and pulley systems.
    • How many ways can we create and use pulleys
    • How are pulleys and inclines useful?
    • Where are pulleys and inclines used in the world?
  • Cardboard Fort Construction
    • Construct an epic cardboard fort

    • Test ideas, creativity, and design

  • Vermicomposting:
    • DIY worm composting
    • How do worms help the earth?
  • Dandelions:
    • Mini study of the whole plant and its benefits
    • Foraging & Harvesting
    • Making and tasting dandelion tea
    • Tasting dandelion leaves
  • Lavender: 
    • Mini study of this herb and its benefits
    • Crushing lavender to release its scent and oils
    • Making and tasting lavender lemonade
  • Natural Paint Pigments
    • We will forage for natural items and make paint
    • Crush terracotta, coal/ash, and chalk
    • We will soak pecan shells to release tanins
    • Coffee grounds, berry and beet juice, and more!
