This Spring we’ll visit the Amazon rainforest with Nature Play Studio and classmates ages 6-10+ years old. Jaquars, river dolphins, poison dart frogs, and more! We will use the investigative method of questioning using: who, what, when, where, why, how, and why? We will include hands on learning to help the Amazon come to life. Learners are invited to answer and ask questions, engage in discussion, share ideas, and have fun! Each week we will spend a few minutes reviewing what we have learned thus far.
The VIRTUAL format includes the following for each week:
- Gather and setup supplies for the play project.
- Join the Zoom classroom before class begins, check device, camera, and sound
Class Flow:
- Connect: enjoy 5-7 minutes of connecting with one another and the teacher before class begins
- Opening
- Launch: the teacher will launch the learning and play by sharing photos, asking questions, prompting wonder and curiosity
- Play: the teacher will invite learners to explore, create, make, share, and play. We will share ideas and experiences. We will learn from one another as their teacher guides them towards specific learning goals each week.
- Closing: we will end each class with gratitude.
- Read Aloud: as time allows, we will enjoy a read aloud for the week. This is optional and you're welcome to join or hop off after closing time.
Virtual classes will run using Zoom. Whether you're near or far, there are options for learning with Nature Play Studio.
