In Person Classes (Nature Babies Classes, Thursdays 10-11:00)

Join our Nature Babies Class on Thursdays in April and May, 10:00-11:00. Register and get more info here on Eventbrite. 
 

The IN PERSON format includes the following for each week:

  • Nature Babies Classes will be on Thursday mornings at a private location in Decatur, 10-11:00, on these dates: April 2, 9, 16, 30 and May 7, 14, 21, 28.
  • Nature Play Group on Monday’s location:  The Lake Claire Community Land Trust, 270 Arizona Avenue, NE, Atlanta, GA  30307
  • Arrive 15 minutes early to give your Explorer time to get adjusted, free play, connect with friends, and set up your tarp or blanket. Bring a water bottle and bug spray. Wear clothes and shoes for outdoor play. Messy play is a high possibility!

  • Parents are invited to stay and participate as guides in their child’s learning. Children love when their parents or caregivers join and model playful learning. 

  • Class will begin on time. We’ll warmly welcome latecomers at any time.

Class Flow:

  • Opening: we will begin each class with movement and song.
  • Launch: the teacher will launch the learning and play by sharing photos, asking questions, prompting wonder and curiosity.
  • Invitation to Play: the teacher will invite learners to explore, create, make, share, and play. We will share ideas and experiences. We will learn from one another as their teacher guides them towards specific learning goals each week.
  • Closing: we will end each class with a closing song and gratitude

Class Policies:

  • 📸 Photo Policy: we love to capture moments of playful learning and joy. Sometimes we share photos of those magical moments on social media.

    If your family prefers not to participate, please let us know. We respect the privacy of all our learners and their families. We make sure faces are covered or not shown when that is preferred by families. 

  • 🌧️ Weather Policy: we aim to play in any weather so as long as it's safe. We want to teach our children resilience and share joy for being outdoors in any weather. If there's light rain, we will set up a canopy, bring umbrellas, and wear rain gear. We will reschedule if there's heavy rain and lightning. Messages will be sent the day before and 90 minutes prior to class.
  • 😷  Sick Policy: please be mindful of others and stay home if you or your little one has had a fever within 12 hours. Wear a mask if you've knowingly been exposed to Covid. 
  • Release and Liability Waiver: Parental or guardian supervision required for each child. Play at your own risk. Waivers must be completed and on file for each family. Please read, review, and complete our digital waiver.
