About Us

Owner, Shaun, is an educator, gardener, homesteader, homeschooling momma, and outdoor play enthusiast. She has worked with children for over 20 years in many capacities and is known in her community as, "mom to many." Using her creativity and education, and professional background as an architectural designer, Shaun loves to spark curiosity and joy for learning through play, asking questions, and making connections to the world around us. The outdoor classroom is her "studio" where learning comes to life. She's an Evergreen Leader with Tinkergarten, having taught 16 seasons of classes since starting in 2019. She is First Aid/CPR/AED certified. She's also trained in Safe Sport for her role as team manager with her son's soccer program.

It was a difficult start with her son in a traditional school environment that sparked her quest to help reignite the love of learning within him. With Nature Play Studio, she hopes to bring this same spark and love for hands on learning to children all over. Nature Play Studio strives to help children learn more about the world around them through play, hands on learning, making, creating, and wonder! We will work with our hands, ask questions, and discover. Have fun with us!
